Good escape Location for Locals

We stayed over the Christmas Holiday break and had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great and we were practically on the beach. You can walk to several restaurants and everything else is a short drive away.

We had a great time at the Best Western Oceanside Inn, four nights in July. The hotel has a good location with beach access (but no beach view) and is meticulously maintained. Everything looked brand new. One of the elevators broke down on Sunday but was fixed on Monday. This hotel is a great value, especially for families with kids, due to the free, hot breakfast. Rooms are plenty large; we were able to put in a rollaway in addition to the two queen beds and it wasn't crowded. Pleasant surprises included a big fridge and microwave, a room safe large enough to hold a full-size laptop, free wi-fi, and lots of open power outlets. The shared balconies are sort of useless, unless you need a place to smoke. There is no furniture and you can't leave stuff out to dry. It would be nice to see them converted to private. The pool is on the small side but was uncrowded. It is ringed by palm trees and the kids loved hanging out there. Reasonably priced food and drink is available poolside. The distance to the beach is about the same as all the other beach hotels, but here you don't have to cross a busy street. However, you do walk past a dumpster. This is a great, uncrowded beach area with volleyball nets and picnic tables. The shops and restaurants are about a 10 minute walk. Bus 40 stops at the hotel and lots of cabs pass by. If you are looking for a five-star luxury resort hotel, this may not be the place. But if you want a well positioned, well maintained, friendly, full-service hotel with everything the average vacationer needs, all at a great price, I highly recommend the Best Western. We will be back.

This hotel was great. We have visited Fort Lauderdale several times and this hotel was the Best Rate, Great Location, Buffet Breckfast, Clean and Comfortable Bed. We will definitely stay here again. Great Job
